Led company in creating IT and programming ideas and implementing them during rapid growth from being a $4MM distribution company w/ 8 users to $10MM with 4 locations and 35 users. Also provided leadership in evaluating ERP Software selection.
• Implemented MS terminal server environment by
bringing in a new server and new computers running
Windows 2000 and Windows XP to access remote UNIX
Server and Windows 2003 Server.
• Managed and brought in new computer technicians and
experts at lower costs than prior contractors saving the
company 40% over the original contracts.
• Ported computer systems and phone system to a new
office without disruption of service, in addition to
supervising new office build out, buying and
coordinating new furniture installation, installing the
cabling, bringing in the phones and the computers with
multiple vendors. All work was done on schedule.
• Responsible for the company's web maintenance, which
included full quoting and order processing over the
Internet.
• Added new backup procedures which made it quicker to

CORPORATE IS DIRECTOR
During company being bought out, promoted to Corporate IS Director. Company acquired 3 other facilities going from $30MM in sales to $90MM. Grew this consolidated manufacturing company’s network from 60 users in 1 location to 250 users in 4 locations in 24 months time.
• Directed company wide assessment for new MRP/ERP
software
• Project Manager for the Y2K initiative.
• Maintained 4 sites over WAN running Windows NT
using CITRIX Metaframe and Terminal Server over T1
VPN, Frame Relay, and ISDN comprising machines
running AIX, Windows NT, Windows 9x.
• Supervised technical staff of 10 which included
contractors when needed.
• Developed a MRP/ERP Assesment Matrix now used by
US Government procurement divisions.

PAC Foundries, Port Hueneme, CA
MANAGER OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Managed a team of 3 programmers for this $24MM manufacturing company that had 400 employees including 60 users in 2 locations. Provided systems analysis and design for all programming delivering a fully robust accounting, order entry, production tracking system in COBOL and converted same system to INFORMIX.
• Cut over 4 systems (payroll, purchasing, accounts
payable and general ledger) in 1 weekend.
• Organized, directed, and provided systems analysis for
conversion of TI 990 COBOL order estimating, sales,
production tracking, and accounts receivable system to
IBM RS/6000 running AIX with INFORMIX database
and SQL report processing.
• Delivered conversion on remaining 4 modules when an
“expert” contractor could only deliver 1 module that
worked only 1 week.
• Extracted data from the above botched payroll system
back into the old system in 1 week, in time to meet
payroll with no delays.
• Designed and wrote most of the purchasing module,
stocking function, and sales reporting system.
• Designed 2 different program generators that wrote
COBOL code from specifications or file FD's.
• Reduced computer maintenance costs by $1290 per mth. • Added telephony and company faxing responsibilities
taking the $2,500 per month bill down to $800.
• Added company's Internet presence, designed,
programmed (HTML) and maintained company’s home
page.
• Added bar-coding interface to production control
module. Included systems analysis, design, overseeing
programming team, and implementation.
